Spot the common scams

Findino chat shows a warning banner whenever a conversation starts. These are the patterns behind almost every classifieds scam:

  • Advance payment: any request to pay before you have seen the item. Token money, booking amount, delivery fee: all the same trick.
  • QR code scans: scanning a QR code sends money; it never receives it. Anyone who sends you a QR to "receive" payment is scamming.
  • OTP and UPI PIN requests: nobody legitimate needs your OTP or UPI PIN. Not Findino, not a bank, not a buyer.
  • Moving to another app: pressure to continue on a different messenger removes your Block, Report and chat-record protection.
  • Too good to be true: a current flagship phone at half the market rate, with a story about urgency, is bait.

Findino staff will never ask for your OTP, password, UPI PIN, or payment inside chat. Findino has no delivery agents and never collects money for deals.
